Well over a year in the making, and after amazing feedback from early users, Shaeda is now officially out for full beta release. It is available on both mobile and desktop, but I strongly recommend desktop if you are interested in learning effectively.1
I’m incredibly happy and proud with how Shaeda has turned out. I’m very confident in saying that, with all the features, different modes (Create, Review, Recovery, Reps), the UI/UX, future plans etc combined, Shaeda is the best flashcard app out there. It comes with a huge amount of incredibly helpful and productive features built-in, is very intuitive and simple to use, has guidelines and a setup process to help in setting up, has been repeatedly validated for accuracy, uses multiple techniques for high-quality flashcards such as utilising external packages or libraries combined with teacher-made prompts, offers both traditional and unique flashcard formats and much more. Please feel free to compare Shaeda with other flashcard apps out there and see what you think.
My ‘vision’ with Shaeda, ultimately, is to reshape how flashcards are viewed and used, taking them from a largely uninspiring, confusing, plain-text afterthought to, instead, a powerful, seamless and complete learning interface that should be prioritised in your learning journey. Stop rereading, stop note-taking, stop highlighting. Research could not be clearer that these are incredibly ineffective when compared to flashcards.

PS (mainly for Language learners): With Shaeda Premium, you are able to select which Gemini model you would like to use for flashcard generation based on your own preferences. For individuals learning any of the validated3 languages, I strongly recommend taking advantage of the Lite model while it is still available. This is the model that teachers used to check and validate the accuracy of the flashcards and is incredibly cost-efficient for langaue-learning flashcards. This means you will get more flashcards of equal quality out of your monthly credit allowance. Unfortunately, Google are potentially discontinuing this model in October 2026, at which point it will be removed from Shaeda. So, again, for those using Shaeda to learn any of the validated languages, consider loading up on Lite cards before it’s gone. Once you generate and save your cards, they are saved permanently in your own database.
Reminder: Shaeda is designed for maximally efficient and maximally effective learning. This is opposite to 99% of apps that are solely interested in creating the illusion of learning via substantially reducing the amount of thinking required in order to keep you hooked on the app for longer. For those interested in learning effectively and actually progressing, try to be wary of such apps.
A few early-tester users asked if mobile would be prioritised over desktop. The issue is that a mobile device is simply a terrible device for real, productive learning in the longterm. Shaeda is intended to be a very powerful, complete learning interface. Using on mobile, while possible and functional, is not recommended if aiming to make good progress.
Shaeda is also useable as a free product, just with limited features and only comes with the standard TTS audio that your browser/device provides.
