Shaeda will be released within a week
Until then, below are some videos of myself using Shaeda and showing how simple, efficient and (if I do say so myself) well designed it is.
Note that I purposefully have not shown all features of Shaeda (Look Up, Breakdown, Paperclip, CheckIt Mode etc) to avoid the videos being overly long and overwhelming. Upon using, it is all quite simple and straightforward after a few minutes of testing and playing.
Lastly, Shaeda is now able to be used on your phone as an app. Simply navigate to the app (shaeda.io) in your browser, click settings and tap “Save To Homescreen”. It will now function as a native app on your phone with a homescreen icon (as seen below)
Around a year and a half building…Enjoy!
Importing from Anki here (2 min)
Note: Importing from Duolingo is working but not shown as I am trying to simplify the process (Duolingo do not offer a way to export ‘learned words’)
A reminder that all other flashcard apps (excl. Anki) are:
Optimised solely for engagement and pseudo-learning (users think they are learning when they are not — which is worse than just not studying at all)
Often don’t disclose which exact LLM/AI is being used (simply saying ChatGPT is useless)
Flashy advertisements of “unlimited flashcards” are counter-productive
Cost substantially more than Shaeda ($2.50 p/m membership vs $5-$20p/m)
PS: Please consider leaving a like or sharing. 50% of users who have signed up for Shaeda have all posts go to their spam. This isn’t ideal. Sharing or liking, Substack say, will help emails be directed to inboxes instead. Thank you!
